For sea lovers Catamaran Snorkel Tour brings snorkeling with professional grade equipment and guided support at renowned coastal spots. Expect time aboard a comfortable catamaran with opportunities for sailing along the north coast and a meal served while you enjoy the ocean setting. For beach days with a twist, Paradise & Pigs visits a white sand resort and includes the chance to see and interact with the famous pigs that draw visitors for a playful encounter.
If you want mountain views and a quieter nature walk, Taino Valley + City Tour moves inland into lush valleys and an ecological park where statues of Taino gods and natural ponds are part of the trail experience. For a more adventurous inland option, Buggy + Monkeyland combines rugged terrain and a jungle visit to Monkey Land where trained staff offer fruit for monkeys and up close encounters with playful squirrel monkeys. For countryside flavor and a local perspective, Puerto Plata Runners offers a safari style route through sugar cane and coastal panoramas with options to enjoy horseback and village scenes.
Decide what kind of day you want in advance so you pick the right pace and activity. Shared public departures are a great value for meeting other travelers, while tours described as offering pickup can simplify logistics from Sosua depending on your plan. Bring swimwear, sun protection and a waterproof bag for personal items on water or jungle excursions, and secure small shiny items when visiting monkey habitats. Booking ahead helps secure your preferred date and ensures any accessibility or special needs are noted before travel.
