Catalina is one of the best known islands for diving and snorkeling, located south of La Romana. If you are a snorkeling enthusiast but don't want to go on a crowded tour, then this excursion option is for you!
Starting early in the morning, you will be transferred to the Bayahibe marina where you will be welcomed aboard a spacious catamaran. The catamaran will then set sail towards Catalina island. The tours main attraction is the magnificent underwater coral reef ecosystem. You will have plenty of time to enjoy the true beauty of "The Wall" (La Pared), Dominican Republic’s most famous snorkeling site that is home to a rich variety of fish and marine plants (snorkel and mask provided).
This tour is based on creating excellent snorkeling experiences and not the same as the usual crowded island tours, therefore it actually won't stop on the island. At the first spot, you could swim to a deserted beach, but this tour is just a good old catamaran ride with music, animation, snorkeling in different spots and where you can treat yourself to snacks and drinks available on board the catamaran.
A little after noon you will head back to Bayahibe where the transfer will take you back to your accommodation or cruise port.
Note: Pick-up time is usually 30 minutes after the arrival time of the cruise ship and will be coordinate by the tour operator.
