Our half-day inshore fishing tour in Costa Rica takes you on an exciting adventure in search of species such as roosterfish, jack crevalle, bigeye trevally, needlefish, skipjack tuna, barracuda, snapper, and grouper. If mahi-mahi are running close to shore, we can also target them during this half-day trip. Morning or afternoon departures are available depending on your schedule, although mornings are usually ideal due to calmer winds and better fishing conditions. This tour is perfect for families as well as experienced anglers.

Inshore fishing in Costa Rica is exciting because the action is often fast-paced and dynamic. Depending on the conditions and target species, we troll live or dead bait, cast poppers and stickbaits, and bottom fish to maximize your chances of success.

Your captain, Thomas Jones, is a marine biologist and a member of Pro Staff Costa Rica. With more hours logged fishing these waters than almost anyone else in the area, he will do everything possible to put you on the fish.

The boat will pick up your group at the Paquera Ferry landing or another agreed meeting point and time. From there, we make the short run to the fishing grounds and begin fishing. The tour lasts approximately 4–5 hours before returning to the drop-off point. During the excursion, you can enjoy cold drinks, including beer, along with snacks and fresh fruit.
