The fishing can be divided into two seasons: the green season (May–November) and the golden season (December–April). In general, inshore fishing is better during the green season. The water color turns back to green, and there is more baitfish activity with larger bait present in the area. The golden season can also be very productive, especially for fly fishing. It is generally during the golden season that we catch the biggest roosterfish. During the green season, there are usually larger numbers of roosterfish around, along with big snappers and schools of jacks. Any day can be a great fishing day — and as we know, any day fishing is better than a day at the office.

Our full-day inshore fishing tour is fun and dynamic. We listen to your preferences, and if you want to cast all day, we will gladly do that. We also troll with live or dead bait, cast poppers and stickbaits, jig, and bottom fish in search of the big one. You can choose between two different fishing boats.

Your captain is a marine biologist by profession and a member of Pro Staff Costa Rica. He has logged more hours fishing in the area than anyone else and will do whatever is necessary to put you on the fish.

The boat picks up your group at the Paquera Ferry landing or another agreed pick-up point and time. We make the short run to the fishing grounds and begin fishing. We fish for approximately 9–10 hours before returning to the drop-off point. During the tour, you can enjoy cold drinks, including beer, snacks, fruit, and lunch.

Boats are assigned based on availability and group size. You can also secure the fishing yacht exclusively for your group during the booking process.
