Actually, the surfing takes place on the spectacular beach of Macao, some 15 kilometers north west from Bavaro Beach, between the areas of Uvero Alto and Bavaro, but still within the hotel area.
Macao has a beach break with small to intermediate size waves. Its shallow water and sandy bottom provide a reef and coral free environment which make it an ideal spot for beginners and intermediate-level surfers.

No fear of falling and hurting yourself!The swells tend to be stronger and rougher during the winter months, when the winds blow mostly from the north, but due to a strategically located cove, the right part of the beach is protected with significantly smaller waves… The sea could be totally flat on special days of the summer, but most of the time Macao Beach has ideal conditions for learning to surf… Our school is located on the center-right side of the beach, and this is where the fun begins!
